The Scoop

The Pembrokeshire Illuminated Tractor Run took place on December 21st in aid of the Catrin Vaughan Foundation and Wales Air Ambulance. Having started at Clarbeston Road AFC, close to 200 illuminated tractors travelled to Pembrokeshire County Showground via Withybush Hospital and Haverfordwest High Street. The tractors looked fantastic in their bright lights and decorations.

It was a spectacular sight and over £1,500 has been raised for the two charities so far. If you would like to make a donation, please click on this link → The Illuminated Tractor Run

Anwen Whitehead, 15, has won the overall award at the RSPCA Youth Photographer Awards for her fantastic photo of a puffin. The winning image was captured when Anwen, from Aberystwyth, was visiting Skomer Island to see the puffins. She named the photo ‘Daydreaming in the chamomiles’ and you can view it below.

The description to accompany the photo reads ‘My long-anticipated first visit to Skomer Island in Wales exceeded my wildest dreams. I arrived on a misty morning, but the sun finally broke through the clouds in the afternoon, exposing a spectacular backdrop. I particularly like the warmth of the greens and contrasting colours of the adult puffin I captured among the chamomile found by the cliff edges.’
